چکیده

Abstract Using the photometric and kinematical data from Gaia Data Release 2, three old open clusters namely Berkeley 32 (Be 32), 98 98), King 23 are investigated. The latter two of these poorly studied in literature. numbers most probable cluster members 563, 260, 114 for Be 32, 98, 23, respectively, with membership probabilities higher than 80% lying within clusters’ limiting radii. Mean proper motions (PMs; ? ? ) determined as (?0.34 ± 0.008, ?1.60 0.006), (?1.34 0.007, ?3.22 0.008), (?0.46 0.009, ?0.87 0.012) mas yr ?1 . errors mentioned PMs Gaussian fitting errors. blue straggler stars (BSS) all were found to exhibit centralized radial distribution. radii 94, 1295, 66 using density profiles. Ages by isochrone 4.90 0.22, 3.23 0.15, 1.95 0.22 Gyr. given ages internal mass function slopes be flatter Salpeter’s value clusters. All dynamically relaxed. Galactic orbits derived clusters, which demonstrate that follow a circular path around center.

Old open clusters : the interesting case of Berkeley 21 ?

We present CCD BVI photometry of the old open cluster Berkeley 21, one of the most distant clusters in the Galactic anticentre direction, and possibly the lowest metallicity object in the open clusters sample. Its position and metal abundance make it very important for the study of the Galactic disc. Using the synthetic Colour Magnitude Diagram method, we estimate values for distance modulus (m...

Membership and lithium in the old , metal – poor open cluster Berkeley 32 ⋆

Context. Measurements of lithium (Li) abundances in open clusters provide a unique tool for following the evolution of this element with age, metallicity, and stellar mass. In spite of the plethora of Li data already available, the behavior of Li in solar–type stars has so far been poorly understood. Aims. Using FLAMES/Giraffe on the VLT, we obtained spectra of 157 candidate members of the old,...

The old anticentre open cluster Berkeley 32 : membership and fundamental parameters ⋆

We have obtained medium-low resolution spectroscopy and BV I CCD imaging of Berkeley 32, an old open cluster which lies in the anticentre direction. From the radial velocities of 48 stars in the cluster direction we found that 31 of them, in crucial evolutionary phases, are probable cluster members, with an average radial velocity of +106.7 (σ = 8.5) km s. From isochrone fitting to the colour m...

Photometry of the Old Open Cluster Berkeley 17

Photometric UBVI CCD photometry is presented for NGC 188 and Berkeley 17. Color-magnitude diagrams (CMDs) are constructed and reach well past the mainsequence turn-off for both clusters. Cluster ages are determined by means of isochrone fitting to the cluster CMDs. These fits are constrained to agree with spectroscopic metallicity and reddening estimates. Cluster ages are determined to be 7.0 ±...

Berkeley 29 , the most distant old open cluster

We present CCD BVI photometry of the old open cluster Berkeley 29, located in the anticentre direction. Using the synthetic Colour Magnitude Diagrams technique we estimate at the same time its age, reddening, distance, and approximate metallicity using three types of stellar evolutionary tracks. The best solutions give: age=3.4 or 3.7 Gyr, (m-M)0 = 15.6 or 15.8 with E(B–V) = 0.13 or 0.10, and m...
